Integrative Psychotherapy

Mental illness expresses itself differently from person to person. Integrative Psychotherapy integrates elements from a range of evidence-based psychotherapies to personalise the therapy and to empower individuals or couples to live a fulfilling life.

Integrative Psychotherapy

I offer integrative psychotherapy in the city center of Stockholm at Blekingegatan 20, or online to help you improve your mental health in a personalised and effective way.

Integrative Psychotherapy is an integration of different schools of psychotherapy adapting different evidence based methods to fit the individuals needs. It is also and integration off all aspects of a person since it unites the affective, behavioural, cognitive and physiological systems. It is an evidence based method of psychotherapy that has been shown to have positive and significant results when treating mental illness.

Do you feel stuck?

When experiencing mental health difficulties such as depressive symptoms, anxiety, unresolved traumatic experiences, relationship difficulties or eating or sleeping problems we can often feel stuck in these sensations and they become overwhelming.

In the therapy I offer we explore in a curious way how your genetic and social heritage has formed who you are today and how these emotional blockages came to be. We will  transform your attachment style and traumatic memories creating a release of the blockages standing in your way allowing you to thrive in life again.

I believe in the intuitive power of each individual to help themselves heal and this therapeutic journey is an exploration to finding that inner strength to be able to live a more fulfilling life

Yoga

Yoga is a great complement to psychotherapy on the healing journey and in my practice I offer both. Working in a holistic way integrating mind,  body and soul in your own healing journey has been shown to have the best and most efficient effects on your mental and physical health.

Currently I offer individual Trauma Sensitive Yoga sessions where we deep dive into the physical aspect of your mental health and learn how to regulate your nervous system and heal traumatic experiences that are stuck in the body.

Who am I?

I started working as a psychologist within the Dutch health care system and moved back to Sweden to start my own practice here in March 2022. In the Netherlands I mainly specialised in trauma therapy and in working with eating disorders, but I have also worked with a range of different expressions of mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD and relationship difficulties.

During my  education and years as a therapist I have taken several courses to deepen my therapeutic skills in different methods and schools of therapy such as Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness This has lead me to be able  to apply methods from these therapies to the unique individual creating an Integrative approach to therapy helping each person in an effective and personalised way.

I am also a trained yoga instructor in Yin Yoga and Vinyasa style yoga and I include techniques from trauma sensitive yoga, breath work, meditation, mindfulness and self massage both the yoga classes and when suited in the therapy sessions.

“Daniela is an incredible therapist. I met her two years ago. She was able to break down my very well built walls and helped me recover from not just an eating disorder but also deeply rooted traumas. She is very skilled and well spoke. She created a safe space where I could share my struggles and winnings without feeling judged. Daniela's energy is inviting, warm and genuine. One of the things I appreciate the most about her sessions is her ability to personalise the therapy to what I needed. I felt understood and seen and this really helped me grow and tap into my worth to become who I am today. She gave me the tools I didn't know I desperately needed. I will always be grateful for our journey.” -Woman 29
